International Conference from 23 to 25 October 2019 in Konstanz/Kreuzlingen 

The annual Culture Action Europe-Conference with participants from all parts of Europe focuses on cultural practices in non-urban territories. Culture Crops: cultural practices in non-urban territories sparks the debate on peripheral territories.

Culture Crops: cultural practices in non-urban territories sparks the debate on peripheral territories. Various thematic itineraries are proposed to the participants in order to experience the diversity of models of practice present in the region. These visits include facilitated debate and exchange between similar practices from other parts of Europe and offers an opportunity for learning and peer-to-peer exchange. Conference will also feature high level keynote speeches and panel discussions, as well as capacity building workshops and a project agora.

Culture Crops: cultural practices in non-urban territories takes place at Dreispitzareal and at Kunstraum Kreuzlingen, Stadtbücherei and Kulturladen Konstanz, at Gems in Singen,  Napoleon Museum and Transitory Museum at Pfyn, at Haus zur Glocke, at Kartause Ittingen and Kunstmuseum Thurgau,… With amongst others Claudia Zeiske – Deveron Projects (UK), Adela Bertolo – Teatr Brama (PL), Hugo Branco – VIC (PT), Michel Mey & Sebastien Olesen – Palp Festival (CH), Deirdre O’Mahony – Künstlerin u.a. Culture Action Europe (CAE) is the major European network of cultural networks organizations. CAE with its 145 member organisations is the first port of call for informed opinion and debate about arts and cultural policy in the EU.
